ABOUT NCNGN

National Centre for Next Generation Network (NCNGN) Circle has been created by the Management Committee of BSNL Board in its 168th meeting held on 26th day of June 2013. The NCNGN Circle with its headquater at New Delhi would be responsible for NGN project coordination during installation and commissioning.

NCNGN Circle will manage Operation & Maintenance of NGN Core Sites and provide 2nd line maintenance support to NGN Access Sites. The technical interface/integration requirements of NGN Access Sites will also be facilitated by this Circle in coordination with IP/MPLS and Broadband Circle. Each NGN Core site will be headed by DGM/Addl. GM Level officer, who will be responsible for O&M of NGN Core sites and will provide the 2nd line maintenance support for NGN Access sites to territorial Circles on regional basis.



The other activities of NCNGN Circle include the activities as mentioned below performed earlier by the NCES Circle:

• Monitoring of AMC of NT Exchanges.
• Monitoring of support activities of C-DOT under MoU.
• Technical Inspection of Exchanges.
• Coordination with switch vendors for development & implementation of new software patch.
• Corrective maintenance support and telephonic assistance.
